"You Are Here" is a local utility application designed to visualize GNSS telemetry. It is built with a strict privacy-by-default architecture.
1. Data Collection & Permissions
To function, the app requires specific location permissions:
- Access to
LocationManagerfor GPS/GNSS satellite status and updates. - Access to
SensorManagerfor compass heading and orientation.
2. Data Transmission
Zero data leaves your device. The app contains no tracking software, analytics SDKs, or crash reporters. It does not communicate with external servers. All GNSS calculations and sky map renderings are performed entirely on your local hardware.
3. Data Storage and Export
The app does not log or store your location history in the background. The only data saved occurs when you manually choose to export a KML file, which is stored exclusively on your device.

Hardware Dependency: Data accuracy (including satellite visibility and dual-band support) is dependent on your physical environment and your device's internal GNSS hardware.
